Let’s rally for peace

Upper School Choral Director Donavon Soumas is the founder of H.E.R.I.T.A.G.E., Inc.

Sing, clap, stomp, shout and get a chance to make history at the largest organized musical performance rally in the world in an effort to promote peace in the community.

MCS parents and staff are invited to attend and support this worthy cause organized by Upper School Choral Director Donavon Soumas, his organization H.E.R.I.T.A.G.E., Inc. and Plainfield City Mayor Sharon M. Robinson.

The Taking It To The Streets: Rally for Peace in our Communities will take place on October 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield, N.J.

The goal of this event is to promote peace and unity within our communities by taking on a global challenge to win the titles of “Largest Gospel Choir Performance” and “Most People Performing Sign Language Simultaneously to the Same Song in the World” with Guinness World Records.

The current Guinness World Record for “Largest Gospel Choir” is set at 1,000 participants and the record for “The Most People Performing Sign Language Simultaneously to the Same Song” is set at 4,796.  You’re invited to join the fun, so bring friends and colleagues to promote peace and make history.
