5-6s learn about compost in MCS’ rooftop garden

The 5-6s class visited Manhattan Country School’s rooftop garden to turn the compost bin. Regularly turning and aerating compost helps to increase decomposition in your compost pile. Students enjoyed the smell of the earth and peeking inside the compost bin.
